Human skills are the skills people often assume we already have, like communicating effectively, navigating difficult conversations, building relationships, and adapting to change.
At R², we call them human skills, though you may know them as soft skills. We use this term because these skills are within all of us and can be developed through practice, support, and experience.
-
Your alignment call is a free 30‑minute consultation designed to help us understand your goals, challenges, and what kind of support would be most valuable for you. It’s a chance to align on your needs before we build a tailored proposal.
-
Yes. We offer custom workshops and audits, and we can also tailor our communication foundations workshop and human skills bootcamp to what you or your team are navigating right now.
-
Both. We work with individuals and teams in person across the Greater Toronto Area, and we work remotely with people and teams across North America.
-
We usually recommend running the communication foundations workshop as two half-day sessions that build on each other. The human skills bootcamp typically runs over five weeks, with 1–2 hour sessions each week.
That said, we can adjust the format, timing, and length to fit the people we’re working with.

We’re not big on vanity metrics. A team can hit its targets and still struggle to communicate, avoid difficult conversations, or feel disconnected.
We start by defining what meaningful change looks like for your team. Then we measure what matters, whether that’s clearer ownership, better communication, faster alignment, or stronger leadership.
Most importantly, we look at what happens after the work. Are people using what they learned? Are conversations changing? Are teams working differently?
The goal isn’t impressive numbers. It’s meaningful change that lasts.
-
The cost depends on the scope of the work, including group size, research, and the metrics we are working toward.
We’ll talk through what you or your team need and come back with a proposal after your alignment call.
